Braque in situ 3.JPG

Georges Braque

Georges Braque (1882 – 1963) was a major 20th-century painter, collagist, printmaker and sculptor. His most important contribution to History of Art was the role he played in the development of Cubism

Between 1908 - 1912 his work was very closely linked with that of his colleague Pablo Picasso. There Cubists works were indistinguishable for years, yet Braque was always slightly overshadowed by the fame and excitement around Picasso.

This set of 9 is a wonderful example of the unmistakable talent that Braque had.
